Franklinville Maple Festival Baking Contest
Two Divisions:
Maple Tree age 18 and over
Maple Seed age 17 and under
To enter bring the recipe and baked item to Tammie Golabek at the Elementary Cafeteria on Sunday April 27, 2008 between 2:15 and 2:45 pm. Judging takes place from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Awards will be presented to the winners at 4:00 pm Entry must be made from “scratch” (no mixes) with real maple syrup as an ingredient No alcohol permitted as an ingredient.
Entire entry must be submitted on disposable/cardboard container for judging
Bring two copies of the Recipe(s) on 8 ½ X 11 inch paper.
(First copy - recipe only)
(Second copy - include):
On front - include name, address and phone number
On back - list the ingredients and preparation instructions
Judging will be based on the following criteria:
Flavor 30 points
Overall Appearance 25 points
Texture 20 points
Consistency (size and shape) 15 points
Creativity (appearance, ingredients, etc.) 10 points
TOTAL 100 points
Notes:
After judging, remaining samples given to the audience
